Young Parent Ambassador Program

The Young Parent Ambassador Program is a paid opportunity for parents under 25 years old to focus on social support, parenting skills, leadership exploration, workforce development, and coaching in support of their individualized goals. Young Parent Ambassadors are paid an hourly rate for all time spent participating in programming.

What do Ambassadors do?

Over the course of a year, ambassadors are trained as leaders for the young parent community. They participate in trainings on parenting skills, leadership development, life skills, public health, and career readiness. Together, the ambassadors form a community of mutual support and growth. Each ambassador, receives one-on-one coaching with Stronger Generations staff on individualized personal, professional and educational goals. Additionally, as per-diem employees, the ambassadors support the Stronger Generations team in supporting our social media platforms, developing our Proud2Parent young parent programming, and providing community outreach and engagement for initiative-wide community events.

Eligibility

Any expectant or parenting individual under the age of 25 is eligible to apply for the Young Parent Ambassador Program. This program is open to young parents of all gender identities.
