Young Parent Success Grants Program

The Young Parent Success Grants Program provides funding to partnering organizations who provide services to young parents under 25. These partnerships are focused on promoting economic mobility, workforce development, and parenting skills for the young parent community.

Mothers for Justice and Equality

Mothers for Justice and Equality (MJE) provides an entry point to explore personal development, leadership development, and financial literacy in partnership with Stronger Generations. This group-based program follows MJE’s You Matter curriculum, and meets for 1-2 hours a week for a total of 8 weeks.

In addition to this 8 week curriculum, young families also have the opportunity to receive immediate case management and coaching services focused on family stabilization (for urgent needs), financial empowerment, and employment goals. Stronger Generations is able to directly enroll new participants into the Young Parent Success Program, and provide young families with the support they need right away. Participants receive a $25 gift card for each week they participate in the program.

At the conclusion of the 8-week curriculum, all participants are offered 6 months of individualized coaching to continue their progress on their individual goals. Participants are also invited to join our Young Parent Ambassador Program, and build upon their new foundation of leadership, economic mobility and workforce development skills.
