The Young Parent Mentoring Program provides expectant and parenting individuals who are under 25 with supportive and healthy peer relationships through one-on-one mentoring with young parent leaders.
Mentor and mentee pairs are encouraged to meet 1-2 times/month over the course of a year. While the program is entirely voluntary, Stronger Generations provides financial support for mentorship activities, opportunities for pairs to come together, and individualized support to both mentors and mentees as they work on the goals of their relationship.
Mentors are all young parents who have participated in the Young Parent Ambassador Program. Mentor/mentee matches are made based on the identified area of support needed as well as requested demographic characteristics.
Expectant and/or parenting individuals under the age of 25 are eligible for the Young Parent Mentoring Program.
How do I sign up?
Applications for the Young Parent Mentoring Program are accepted on a rolling basis and new mentors/mentees are on-boarded about 3 times per year.
